science fiction action thriller with a spiritual theme, In Case of Emergency is set in the immediate future and tells the story of a highly decorated Navy Commando, Lieutenant Commander Brandon Hill, who is rescued after his mission on the moon goes terribly wrong.

After witnessing the rest of his unit wiped out on the lunar surface by mysterious alien forces, Hill is revived by his commanding officer. Hill is told that five years have elapsed, and that the only way to avenge his slain comrades is to conduct a sniper mission to kill the alien leader, who has arrived on earth with hostile intentions.

On the way to carry out his mission, Hill is ambushed and interrogated by a mysterious individual who challenges everything Hill believed and understood. When the time comes to pull the trigger, Hill must make an agonizing decision with global consequences. Does he do what he has been trained and ordered to do, or heed a newfound voice whispering in his conscience?

Shot in five days on a budget of $30,000, In Case of Emergency represents an ambitious experiment based on resourcefulness, not resources.

"High concept sci-fi on a shoestring budget. A tremendously ambitious learning experience," says co-director Geoffrey Donne. "We took on the notions of extraterrestrial visitation, cryogenics and time travel, all in one piece. We also wanted to have a strong female character in a leading role. People told us we were insane."

Filmed by Bob Bryan, director of photography for the hit series Hill Street Blues and Murder One, this thirty minute short aspires to tell a story of hope and self discovery set against a military sci-fi theme.

With a very modest shooting budget of $30,000, In Case of Emergency was a true experiment in guerrilla filmmaking. With footage shot on the sly of actual U.S. Navy Seals during training exercises, and CGI special effects donated by the creators of Babylon 5 and Space Above and Beyond, and creature FX by the designer of the T-Rex in Jurassic Park and The Predator, the Artists on the Attack crew pulled out all the stops. Shot in just five days of principal photography, and co-directed by Joshua Milrad and Geoffrey Donne, this project involved numerous previous members of Artists on the Attack who generously donated their time and skills.
